Final Project

By now, you should have submitted your proposal to your TA and gotten approval to begin development. For each of the weeks, you will be graded on the usual style and participation components and if you accomplished the tasks that you said you would for that week in your proposal. For each week, please commit to subversion in a folder called FinalX where X is 0, 1, 2, or 3 depending on the week.

Due Dates:

  • Week 0 – 4 November 2009 @ 8:00 AM Central
  • Week 1 – 11 November 2009 @ 8:00 AM Central
  • Week 2 – 18 November 2009 @ 8:00 AM Central
  • Week 3 – 2 December 2009 @ 8:00 AM Central

Note: week 3 is 2 actually weeks long due to Thanksgiving vacation.

The will be no discussion section on December 10th and 11th due to reading day and the start of final exams.

  • Documentation
    • Your code contains ample comments: 4
    • Your program provides useful feedback to the user: 4
  • Code Design
    • Your code is modular: 4
    • Functions only do one thing: 2
    • Each function is no longer than 25 lines of code: 2
    • There were no code smells in your code (-2 for each): 6
  • Functionality
    • You accomplished the tasks that you laid out for this week in your proposal: 20
  • Participation
    • You actively participated in discussion: 4
    • You came prepared based on your assigned code reading: 2
    • You submitted your assignment on time and to the correct location: 2
